07 Effective Yoga Postures to improve Fertility

Yoga, and especially sex yoga, can help fight stress and infertility. This yoga allows the management of the menstrual cycle but also to solve some gynecological problems such as cysts, fibroids or infertility.

 

Sex yoga is a mixture of breathing exercise, concentration and the exercise of different postures. These exercises help release stress, anxiety that is harmful to fertility and stimulate blood flow to the reproductive organs. Sex yoga can be contraceptive, curative or preventive but in any case it allows to become aware of its internal organs. It allows above all to unify the body and the mind. There are many positions to increase fertility but the following ones are good beginners and achievable at home. Here are 6 yoga postures to help you get pregnant fast that you can do at home.

1. The open angle Yoga Pose (upavistha konasana)

Sit on the floor, spread your legs to form an angle of about 90 degrees. Press your hands against the ground and point the toes up.

Move your hands between your legs and keep moving until you feel your back and legs stretch.Hold in this position for a few moments then release.This position is used to improve blood circulation in the female reproductive system and opens the pelvis.

2. Reclining butterfly pose (supta baddha konasana)

Lie on the floor or on a yoga mat. Attach the soles of your feet with your knees spread apart on each side. Stay in this posture for 3 to 10 minutes and breathe deeply. It is a preventive posture for menstrual problems. It opens the groin and allows the lumbar to rest.

3. The cat Pose (Marjariasana)

Get on all fours. Inhale, arching your back and looking up. Keep your shoulders back. Exhale, make your back round, lower your head looking towards the belly button. This posture helps manage emotions and relax tension in the back and neck.

4. The Locust pose (salabhasana)

As you exhale, lift your head, arms, legs and torso off the floor. Your weight will rest on your lower ribs, stomach and pelvis.Your arms should be parallel to the ground. Look straight ahead.Hold the position, then release.This position can relieve stress and build up energy down the body.

5. The cobra Pose (bhujangasana)

Lie flat on the floor. Place hands at shoulders with elbows back along the body.Inhale slowly and straighten your arms while lifting the chest off the ground.Hold the position, then release.This position can help relieve stress and is very effective in increasing blood flow to the ovaries and uterus.

6. Legs up the wall (viparita karani)

Sit facing a wall. Lie on your back with your legs up, leaning against the wall.Extend the arms to the side, palms up.Close your eyes and breathe while relaxing in this position. If necessary, put a mask on the eyes to block the light.This position is ideal to do just after intercourse because it helps to keep the largest number of sperm.

7. The bridge (setu bandha sarvangasana)

Lie on the floor and bend your knees. Place your arms on the side. Move your feet towards your buttocks. Exhale while raising the buttocks of the ground by pushing your coccyx towards the top of the pubis. Keep your thighs and feet parallel. Stay in this position between 30 seconds or 1 minute. This position stimulates the hormones and brings a blood flow to the uterus and ovaries.
