Headache: how to relieve headache?

Nearly 7 men and 8 in 10 women suffer from occasional or repeated headaches. Most often without gravity but nevertheless painful, headaches can be a cause several other reasons such as lack of sleep, stress or bad posture in Sleep.

Here are the tips from our grandmother to get rid of Headache naturally.

How to relieve Headache Naturally

Ice Packs

If you have headache, first it is advisable to place an ice pack on your forehead. You can do it simply by placing ice cubes in a plastic bag covered with a cloth. The intense cold kept for five minutes should relieve you.

Hot water Packs

If the cold is effective, the heat can be as well because it relaxes the muscles. To apply it you have to fold a fabric several times to obtain a surface equivalent to that of your neck. Dip it in very hot water and wring out. Finally put it on the neck and leave it in place for a few minutes.

Lavender Oil

Our grandmothers also advise that lavender has soothing virtues. Its essential oil will be especially effective if your headaches are caused by stress or fatigue. Apply on the temples and the neck, 3 drops, while massaging. You can repeat this procedure up to 4 times a day.  Pregnant women too can use this trick of Original lavender essential oil after the 3rd month of pregnancy and in the child of 6 months.


Then the ginger infusion will act on your headache like aspirin. You need to cut 3 thin slices of fresh ginger roots that you will infuse for 20 minutes in 1 cup of boiling water. You can drink up to 3 cups a day. You can also use ginger powder.


Our grandmother also advised that headaches are often a sign of dehydration. So you need to think about drinking a lot of water throughout the day.

Balance Room Temperature

The increased temperature of your room is also one of the cause of headache. Think of decreasing it slightly.

Hot Foot Bath

Finally, know that hot foot bath will dilate the blood vessels and activate the circulation of blood. It is advisable to soak one’s feet up to 20 minutes twice a day in order to get rid of Headache.
